What to wear on a Family Photo-shoot
First things first, I think everyone needs to be comfortable in whatever they're wearing. There's no point going out and shopping for clothing that you don't like or are uncomfortable wearing. So comfort first!
Compliment Each Other
To get the most out of your finished images, I'd suggest you wear colours and styles of clothing that enable you to blend with each other, rather than clothing that clashes in colour. That would make your images look a little busy and possibly messy.
The studio look and feel is light and airy; I usually use a white background. This helps you to stand out nicely in your photos.
Be comfortable to Move Around
Whatever you'r wearing: jeans, trousers, sweaters, etc., make sure you can move around freely without feeling restricted, awkward or even self conscious. If the kids get not he floor, you might want to get on the floor too.
Colours Easy on the Eye
When thinking about the colours you're wearing, as well as complimenting each other, think about colours that are easy on the eye that won't be distracting from the photos.
Solid colours are usually the best choice., rather than patterns and shapes.
Hanging your Framed Photos in Your Home
When choosing your clothing, think about where you might want to hang your photos in a frame inside your home. Again, if you go for zany colours and patterns, this might not work inside your home. Whatever the decor in your home, solid, neutral colours will normally work and you can always add contrast to blend into your home decor by the type of frame you choose.
